Ben knew straight away that he would rather look for used equipment as well as all other necessary things such as shelves, cables, plugs and other rack accessories. After all, he was not even an IT specialist. It"s true that he had been thinking of creating his own server room for a couple of years, and he knew a lot about the subject. He worked for telecommunications companies, so his job had at least something to do with information technology, but he didn"t have enough knowledge to create anything special. So, he found some second-hand rack accessories on the internet. The person was trying to sell them because he had been running a small server room himself but was gong to quit it because he was leaving the country. Anyway, Ben bought a huge cabinet with a closed door, which was especially important because his family had mentioned that they were not going to stand any strange sounds at home. The cabinet was not soundproof at all, but the massive door provided some sort of isolation. He also ordered a cooling system that could be installed inside the cabinet. He was not absolutely sure how to do this, but he called the seller for some information. A week later, he already had all necessary rack accessories and most of the equipment. It was time to get down to the real work.
